Message Recieved: MTV gets back to it's root

After years and years of complaints, MTV has gotten the message with the introduction of www.mtvmusic.com . It's like Youtube for music videos. Backed with the behemoth MTV video library, and both Universal and Warner Music (video) catalogs, you can't help but get nostalgic. Remember MTV Networks also owns VH1, so don't be surprised if you stumble on a "Pop Up Video"!

Here are a few to quench that nostalgic thirst!

In September I purchased the new Panasonic Lumix LX3 (point and shoot) camera, which I had been stalking all Summer. Excited, I came home and started shooting. Playing with the macro settings I snapped up this little gem. More to come.

My draft complete.

As mentioned previously, I'm slated to be directing a short film in the coming months. Well I'm glad to announce that I've finished and turned in my completed draft of the screenplay. Once approved by Sundi Lofty, the woman who wrote the original stage play, we will be in high-gear for pre-production.

I'm really happy with the way it turned out. For the past few years I've had a hard time getting myself to put pen to paper and just sit down and do a screenplay (mind you I have ideas out the yin yang, and fully outlined stories for days). Only God knows how many books I've read on screen writing in an effort to "prep", for all that time to actually be my procrastinating due to fear.

It wasn't until last night that I realized this was the first full screenplay that I ever wrote. the satisfaction of being able to say that I've completed a screenplay puts me on a cloud higher than 9.

God worked it out though, and I think the story of Amora will pull on the heartstrings of many. Keep checking out the blog for updates!

MAFIA... Don't get clipped!

So a few months back I was asked to direct a pilot for a game show a few buddies of mine are trying to get off the ground. The game isn't new, and you've probably played it before, or sat on the sidelines puzzled wondering "WTF is going on?". Though I was worried about it holding up on it's own as a game show I have to admit the trailer does a damn good job at spiking interest. I mean come on, if POKER can entertain the masses, Mafia will mos def feed a niche market.

Sadly I had to take a break from the project in order to get "Love Me Through It" off the ground (this Feb 12th deadline for the 2nd draft, is killing me).

Shout out to Karibi and Hakim! and good luck on the project.

Why I'm just thinking to do this, I have no clue... but there is a whole YouTube page full of works I've done.

A tip of the hat to Mr. Seith Mann

So I'm back on top of my game on this endless quest to become a film director. I'm currently writing the second draft to a film entitled "Love Me Through It." I just decided to post a short film from a guy who is making waves in Hollywood, particularly TV. He's done episodes of The Wire, Lincoln Height's, Greys Anatomy, and Jericho (the best and most action packed of the first season), he's doing his thing and showing no signs of slowing down.

Seith is both a fellow church member, and Morehouse Alum (and hopefully I can say Tish alum down the line). Sadly he was on his way to Cali literally a few months before I came back to BROOKLYN from ATL.

Seith, if your out there, ht me up! I'd mos def like to pick your brain. Teddy2XL@gmail.com
